Almost YULE Need Ideas for decorations

I have my kids coming over this weekend to put up the Yule tree! I need suggestions for making ornaments with teenagers that are, well teens LOL
I really want to make a Yule log, it has been my dream to have one for a very long time so I will look for a nice log and I can collect fir sprigs from work and leave some offering to the trees for their gifts. Across the road they have a holly tree and I am going to see if the leaves are out and the berries and take a cutting or two (I know the landlord and will ask her permission first).
I am going to pick up some glittery pipe cleaners to make pentacle stars for the tree with some stone beads, which I have ohhhhhhhhhhh a few of LOL
Any other ideas?

Need Help

I can't seem to meditate, now matter how I try but then my mind goes off I bring it back to the candle and then my eyes start to wander, then I realize I am not sitting straight then I am done.
I don't know what to do if I could afford it I would take a class or 2, however that isn't an option. I have read everything I can, however still can not do it. Do I need drugs? LOL I know that is silly but really I am at a total loss of what to do.

It has been a while since I posted, forgive me working and sleeping has been all I have been upto lately.

I have started stitching on a new model called the Triple Goddess and have a companion peice call the Horned God to follow.

Both will be made into wall hangings for my room, and will post when they are ready for sale.

I am interested in hearing about other peoples lives, how they grew up, what their families were like so I don't know if I could pin point 5 actual people.

No, I think it is what it is.
Do you believe in the death penalty?
I struggle with this one, as a Wiccan I strongly believe in Harm None, but child molester's, rapiest, mass murderers are as close as I get to it.
Do you wish marijuana would be legalized already?
I have a number of friends who suffer daily in pain due to cancer, MS and other ailments, so yes I do.
Are you for or against premarital sex?
For it if it is safe. You wouldn't buy a car without driving it first or doing a walk through on a house you were buying.
Do you think same sex marriage should be legalized?
I have so many friends that are gay and am blessed to live in a Province where it is legal!
Should the alcohol age be lowered to eighteen?
No, it is 19 here in Ontario and people are going to drink anyway, but knowing what I know now in life, I don't think so.
Should the war in Iraq be called off?
There will always be war, sadly. However it has gone on long enough.
Assisted suicide is illegal: do you agree?
Yes, again Harm None comes in here.
Do you believe in spanking your children?
I know I rarely spanked mine when they were younger, however if you are very angry then NO, it will only lead to a beating not a smack on the ass.

Do you worry that others will judge you from reading some of your answers?
Everyone has their own opinions, and I do not believe in judging anyone for any reason.

As I sit here at 5:58am on this glorious day, I can hear birds chirping outside. The house is quiet and other than the cats flipping out over the birds lol it is so peaceful and very soothing.

I have no plans for the next 2 days due to work, however on Monday I am going to take out my camera and go to the park or water front and in my own way, have a little late, but wonderful Ostara!

I am desiging 4 - 6 smaller designs for a friend to use in making some wiccan/pagan wall quilts/totes to see in her Etsy shop!

I am so excited and motivated I have 2 done so far!

Still have to stitch them up but so far the designs are GREAT!!

A lot of people get freaked out when they are single and walk through the malls, stores etc and see all the boxes of candy, jewelry and Valentine's cards, I know I use too.

However, be your own Valentine!

Buy yourself that pendant you always wanted or your favorite candy, go out to dinner with peole you like, or go to a movie.

Who says you have to have a 'date' to do any of this?

Cupid is a cute little imp, but really, do you trust your love life to an imp?

It has taken me many years to be ok with this day being just my oldest's birthday ok I don't mean JUST! He is and always be the best Valentine gift in the world!

Born in 1990 in the middle of a huge ice storm lol let me tell you he has been the storm in my life since then, but I love him with all my heart!

My Mom always said, "I love you but DON'T like you right now!"

As a kid that hurt, but as a parent DAMN!!! Those words mean tons!

So if you are alone like I am, spend the day pampering yourself!

Light some candles have a bubble bath, make plans to do something rather than staying home and stewing in your 'aloneness'!

I will be working, but will be thinking of 20 years ago when I had my little cupid!

Goddess Heard my Plea

Yesterday I posted on my personal blog that I was creatively blocked and I was asking my pagan/wiccan friends for help with my problem. Before anyone posted or the special people I emailed answered me I was struck with a design in my head!

It is not stitched yet and I am seeing an upcoming series coming!

Thank you Goddess for hearing my prayer and reminding me it is in me to do what is needed!

I have wanted a black tree for my Samhain and Halloween ornaments for so long!!

I saw an ad for Walmart and there it was the perfect tree! Black and Silver and CLEAR lights already on it!!!

I can't wait to get moved into my new place so I can empty out my car and put up my tree in my room.

For the first time EVER I will be able to have my own altars in my room as I will be keeping out my cats for the first time ever they are going to freak but I so much want to make it a sanctuary for me and for my spirtuality.

I have a small table for a altar for remebering all those who have passed on, one for an element altar as well.

Any other suggestions? I have kept everything in boxes for so long all my tools will have to be cleansed again and I am going to have to recharge my crystals, oHHH the fun I am going to have!!

I am currently working on an Elemental Altar Cloth. I am very excited about this design and hope to have it ready in a couple of weeks. I am also getting ready to send 3 new designs to a model stitcher who is also a solitary wiccan, so I feel so blessed that she has offered to stitch these 3 for me!
I wish there was a distributor for wiccan/pagan cross stitch designs!!!
